This dog is by far the biggest Border collie I have ever seen. I got him as a puppy from a special purebred Border collie breeder who is known for breeding some of the biggest Border collies. Even he has never seen a Border Collie as big as my Jet, he said he is a 'freak of nature'; his dad was 24kg and his mum was 22kg. Not only is he the biggest, but he is one of the nicest BC's I have ever has, (kind of what you expect for what I had to pay for him).

That is what I thought at first, but then I asked the breeders for their KC registration documents for his parents and they are completely pure bred Border collies. These breeders specifically went out to breed the biggest border collies though, they usually only breed BC's over 22kg at least. They have known one BC up in Scotland who they used for breeding to be 31kg. However recently in the last few months they closed down, since the owner died of cancer, and his daughter doesn't want to carry on with the breeding, so she has taken the savings and used them for her own business. The owner's wife now keeps the 5 dogs, because she didn't want to see them go.
