How to measure a Landseer at the withers
- Stand your dog on level ground with its legs straight.
- Locate the withers : it is the highest point of the shoulders, at the base of the neck.
- Lay a straight object (a book or a rigid ruler) horizontally at the withers.
- Measure vertically from the ground to the underside of that object with a tape measure.
- Repeat two or three times and keep the average value to follow growth.
