Origins of the Sloughi
Present for millennia in the Maghreb (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya), accompanying nomads for sight-hunting (gazelle, hare, fennec fox). Considered "clean" in Islamic tradition, unlike other dogs. FCI number 188.
